Budapest

Hungary still amazes me in some strange way. Appart from their language, Budapest is the center of that sensation. The architectural styles that the city has are exceptionally unique. Maybe the best way to explain it is to say that it’s the door to Eastern Europe (or the other way around), with strong north-asian cultural influence. The onion domes can be seen more often, the styles begin to mix, and so on the slavic and western cultures. Between all these elements, some interesting stuff can be found, like the old nazi bunker where you can get the best views of the city. The iconic places are definitely the Hungarian Parliament and the Budapest Bridge, who unites Buda with Pest by crossing the Danube River. I only stayed one day in the city, so there will be more material soon when I get back with more time. Meanwhile, enjoy!
