Louvre – Paris

If you are planning a trip to Paris and you wanna see its museums, plan to spend at least one entire day in the Louvre Museum. Though it might seem just one, it is actually a complex of museums with a lot (and I mean a lot) of unique exhibitions to see with elements and artwork of the entire world. Among the collections of the museum are those of the Ancient Egypt with statues that were taken when Napoleon Bonaparte conquered those lands, those of the Mesopotamia (or Near East), the Greek & Roman with several sculptures (my favorite one), and other elements and furniture of the islamic and western Middle Age empires. Among the most famous exhibitions are the Venus de Milo (a goddess without arms), the painting called “Liberty Leading the People” of the French Revolution (painted by Delacroix), the Louis XIV painting, and of course the most iconic one: the Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci. This oasis is definitely an Olympus of the history of the humankind.
