Quick City Overview: Montecarlo

With a paradisiac view of the Mediterranean Sea,  the city of Montecarlo in the Principality of Monaco serves as a door to the French Riviera. Its urban layout, on the other hand, is very similar to that of Genoa, but far more dense. Walking on the streets of Montecarlo is like walking trough a racing-circuit, being a festival of expensive cars and perfect urbanization, specially in the area of the Casino. Like Genoa, Montecarlo has a lot of tunnels and sub-neighborhoods inside its hills, plus the marinas, who are like an extension of the city onto the sea itself. The luxury lifestyle of Montecarlo can be seen on the services that the city provides. While you may find gorgeous expensive hotels, there’s no hostels to stay in the entire city. That’s why the backpackers and the low-budget travelers take Monaco as a one or two-day tour while staying in Cannes or Nice, almost 30 to 45 minutes away on train. By the way, and  this is true: it is mandatory to be millionaire in order to enter to some of the night clubs in Montecarlo.
