The Transamerica Pyramid is, still, the tallest and most iconic tower of San Francisco. Loved or hated (rarely in between), this tower was once planned to be 350 m. tall, but it wasn’t allowed by the city’s government. It also once had an observation deck, who was closed after the 9/11. FORT MASON

Fort Mason was once a US Army post for the defense of the Pacific Ocean coast, who also had a port and shipyards. The golden era of this base was in the World War II for the campaigns on the Pacific front. Later on, it was turned into the complex we know today, famous for having the hostel of Hostelling International with awesome views of the San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz. Here’s the HD video:
